R53 alarm

[Old enough to know better]

Does anyone know if I can disarm the alarm without the keyfob ? Got back to the car today and the blipper didn't work so I ended up driving home with the alarm sounding and hazards flashing. I've now put a new battery in the key but it still doesn't unlock the car or disarm the alarm. Anyone had this issue before ?

A weird one. Is the car still unlocking with pushing the button on the key or is that due also?

Have you tried both keys to see if the same thing is happening
