March Madness Run Sunday 13th March 2022

March wouldn't be March without a madness run and also it'll be the first run of the year, hopefully we can get a social meet organised for February also now that more restrictions have been lifted.

The run will take us along the Moffat road and over to the Borders, that's as far as I've planned so far, but I'm sure that for those of you that have done the Moffat road you will agree its fantastic.

Please meet at Eskbank Park & Ride EH22 3NX at 10:00 for the run to start at 10:30. There is a Tesco fuel station selling Momentum 99, there is also a Greggs, McDonalds and a Costa located within the Tesco Car Park. I have attached an imagine below to help find the Park & Ride as the postcode will only take you to a rough location usually the Tesco.

Everyone welcome as always, will be good to see some new faces along as well

Due to an emergency road closure the A708 (road between Selkirk and Moffat) will be closed on Sunday. I’ll have a look and see if we can use another road or use a completely different run altogether. Either way we’ll still get out on Sunday to have a good time

Had a look and also spoke with Andrew who has said that we've used the Cappercleuch to Tweedsmuir road before that goes via past Megget Reservoir. This means there will be a diversion when we get onto the A708 but for the most part the run will be the same.

That’s good news. Really looking forward to this run.

Sadly it cuts about 20 miles off the run, but on the plus side it's a nice single track road with a couple of options for parking up if the weather is dry. It will likely be busier with locals avoiding the closure, but from memory there's loads of passing places so we should be ok.
