I’m looking to add an induction kit to my 2013 r56 cooper s, I enjoy how the car sounds and after years of cone filters I’d like something more subtle and wondered if anyone had fitted the n14 jcw complete airbox? The version I’ve looked at I believe is what was supplied as part of the jcw dealer kit that taker the cone filter over the panel filter but wanted to know if anyone has done this and is it a straight fit?

Any help would be great

The only thing I’m concerned about is it’s an air box from an earlier model, I’m told the newer model lid doesn’t fit the older style bottom so it’s really if the n14 airbox secures to the n18 in the same way

You’d be better to fit a JCW airbox supplied with a factory JCW along with the hard plastic intake pipe to the turbo rather than the tuning kit airbox. The JCW airbox is larger and flows better. The Tuning kit airbox looks better as it has the JCW logo on top but doesn’t flow as well

The box I’m looking at has the jcw badge moulded into it rather than the badge mounted to it and this is the version that holds the cone style filter instead of the panel filter I’m told it’s a better box but no one says if I can just fire it in

A factory JCW airbox doesn’t have the logo and the better airbox. The tuning kit box does have the logo on it and not as good as the Factory JCW airbox but better than a standard S airbox. The airbox should fit
