Friends Mrs just got above mini,it's a 53 plate,there's a spark and fuel also engine turns over but won't start,any suggestions what the problem could be

As it’s a Diesel there will not be a spark as it’s compression ignition ,you need to make sure there is fuel reaching the injectors and the glow plugs are working,if the glow plugs are not working correctly you can sometimes get them hot by repeatedly going through starting cycle and this can help to get it going.
compression is also vital to a Diesel (get a compression test carried out) was the engine starting and running as normal before? It is getting colder in the morning so maybe related to glow plugs

Have you checked for any fault codes? Glow plugs needing changed? MAF ok?
