Remote battery change

Anyone done a battery change in a r56 mini remote ? Looked on YouTube. And some seem to be soldered in. Others. Seemed to pop cover off underneath. Tried to pop cover off. But seems moulded all in 1 piece. So looks like I need to cut. All way round key Anyone done it before. As take it I can’t put another battery in that’s not re chargeable.

Is the key working up needing a charge or is it not working at all? If it’s not working at all, try starting the car with the good key with your foot on the brake and clutch, don’t move your feet, turn the car off, put the key needing charged in and restart the car.
