Hi have had my mini R56s for almost 3 months now. Can see with these there are a few issues but can always get good support on forums. First time I have joined a forum so looking forward to get involved. :D
The car had a new mini Scotland sticker on it so could quite possibly previous owner is a member. Used to do a daily commute to Aberdeen in golf GT TDI but just got too boring Hence the purchase of a mini, used to own a R50 I got for the wife but soon became my car.

Welcome to NMS. That could be Marks old car. I’m sure he’ll be along soon to confirm

A few bits aren’t standard would be good to know what has been done to it.

Welcome along. :thumbs up:
As others have said it's likely Mark's car - Horizon Blue is a rather unusual colour (which is a shame as it's quite nice).
That having been said it's all yours now. Looking forward to how it comes along. :yes nod:

Welcome to NMS.
That is indeed Nigel my previous MINI.
Hope you have many happy miles with it in my ownership he didn't cost me a penny in maintenance. I owned him from Feb 2017 till Feb 2019. If you pop over to my insta m600_rkj you can see my ownership of him. I'm sure there is also a build thread on the forum.

He looked very different back in 2017 as he came from the factory with the american aero kit, I swapped this out for a full JCW kit as I think it looks far better

Horizon Blue is a really nice colour and as Ali says a pretty uncommon one. It does hold a very nice shine.
I'm also very proud of the engine bay of that mini I had the slam panel stripped back to bare metal and sprayed horizon blue.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200901/84db6835a1e82b3884b3102e55272fe4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200901/e926c41b758a8a7140688c6cdd7ce94b.jpg

The exhaust on it is a standard Cooper S exhaust with JCW style blued tips and the resonator removed. Just the right amount of extra pops and bangs imo without being ASBO.

Looked really nice with the wheels on it. I have spent a few days in the garage trying to get the paint buffed up and was coming up good, previous owner must have loved driving on the rear bumper of the car in front as it has a lot of stone chips on it.
But look forward to putting my own stamp on it. Only changed the oil and filter, new itg air filter in. New timing chain will be next in line as I hear too many bad stories about them.

I had the chain and tensioner done when I first got it. So definitely worth doing for the piece of mind I got the car at sub 30k miles
