March wouldn’t be March without a madness run.
Im going to use a new route for this years run to spice it up a little. Don’t worry though there will still be great roads that we can all enjoy and I’m trying to plan in a nice lunch stop.
Meet time will be 10am for a 10:30 start at IKEA Straiton. If anyone needs to get breakfast the IKEA cafe will be open or if anyone needs petrol there is a Costco across from IKEA or an Asda just up the road.

William, put me down as a ‘possible’ for this one please. Apparently 29th March is the start of British Summertime. I’ll believe that when I see it... probably through the pouring rain!

That’s the route sorted and if I do say so myself quite a good one. Run notes will be posted over the next few days and I’ll get the start location and time posted later this evening.

What are people’s wanting to do with the this run due to ongoing coronavirus? Do we want to postpone the run until a later date or carry on as planned? I’m not wanting to panic people but in light of so many people being advised to self isolate, I just want to get everyone’s thoughts. Happy to carry on as planned due to everyone being in their own cars.

I'd leave it until late next week to see where we all are news wise. Unfortunatley who knows what's round the corner

I'd say make a call on it next friday, the only part I can see being an issue is the lunch stop, we could solve this by everybody bringing a lunch with them and either eating in the cars or finding a picnic spot if the weather is decent.

I think in light of recent government guidelines I’ll be postponing the run until a later date just to be on the safe side as I would hate for some to become ill due to catching it at the run

Probably the correct decision

Totally agree. Even putting the obvious ‘non-essential’ travel and health risks aside, how would it look having a group of Minis out on a ‘Jolly’ while folks are confined to their homes, losing jobs and lets face it, dying...? NOT a good image for the club. I think cancelling was the only viable option. Stay safe everybody, wash your hands and cross your fingers.
