My 04 MCS has just developed a new noise! When releasing the clutch when pulling away from stationary, just before biting point a hollow buzzing noise is made. It doesn't happen all the time and the car has only done 7500 miles so it's not clutch wear. Took it to Dunedin and their technician heard the noise and thought it was a collapsed hose but it seems not to be. I'm just about to book it back in next week but wondered if anyone had this issue.
It’s not the steering pump but I wonder if it’s an early sign of clutch bearing failure or a gearbox issue. Still changes and shifts fine though and no slip of the clutch when you dump it in gear 3 or 4 with higher revs.
Any ideas?
