Warning on dash

Evening all, driving through Highlands at the weekend and had a warning symbol that looked like speedo dial with exclamation mark, made the warning chime once and stored the little warning triangle symbol below. After getting to location, stopped car, went for walk and returned. Warning had cleared and did not return for the rest of the journey home.
Anyone know what the speedo with exclamation mark means. All temps seemed ok.
