I'm an old school recently turned 40 yr old, in that I hate tablets and prefer PCs and laptops.

I have a main PC at home but obviously cant carry that around when going to family.......and I'm at the stage at times I just wanna throw the tablet out the window :P

Looking into laptops in Currys, and I admit when it comes to spec, I'm a bit bamboozled.

I don't necessarily need a dvd-drive as know I can get an external one later, but I'm looking for a laptop for internet, music......and just general everyday stuff, so doesnt need to cost anymore than my rough £300 MAX budget.
I'm reading reviews for some as well that are mixed, people saying some are slow but ...........well, all I can say is any computer guru able to help me choose a cpl from the current selection on the Currys website?

Also, never been up in a 'cloud' that some are talking about too.

Thanks, in advance

I ordered the following yesterday as something portable, that I can use with clients so they don't need to crowd round my main PC. For what I need (not heavy graphics work, just Word, Excel and web access) a Chromebook seems to fit my needs.

I should be able to tell you what it's like, as it should have arrived today. For some reason Royal Mail have seen fit to send it to Northern Ireland instead...

I would recommend the Lenovo below, a great all rounder which I have had no problems with.
