Decided I'd go to Stirling to see a movie late last night.
Bearing in mind not had the car for even a month yet.......and 'lost' the in built Sat Nav I had in my previous S, before I traded for the Evoque (long story if you don't already know!).
Anyway..........had phone on daft Halfrauds vent holder, turns out way I sit in car, the steering wheel covers quarter of the phone screen.......this being the first time I'd actually uses it for Sat Nav.
Weather was chucking it down, and ended up with at least 7 roadworks on the way, course all traffic lights were at red.
Roads seemed to be either closed or if they were down to one lane it seemed like it was three quarters of a lane the way the cones were!
I missed a turn on a roundabout due to not seeing the phone screen properly, judging the reduced lane width, and the glare of oncoming cars too..........turned round and headed back the way.
All was good until........BANG..........I pulled over as soon as I could.
The pic is the result :

Walked back to where I heard the bang and it was the smallest 'island' you ever saw in your life.......which I didnt see due to concentrating on everything else, and being late for the movie anyway.
Just drove back home as I wasnt anywhere near the cinema anyway :(
Any idea on how much I'm looking at for a repair, and who with?
Can guess I can be thankful that theres no air coming out the tyre, the 'tyre pressure monitor' seems to confirm that, so tyre damage just seems superficial.
Thanks

Ooh no sorry to hear about the wheel. Stirling wasn’t the best place to head to last night as it was the marathon today so no doubt they had the roads closed off for that.
Anyway if it was me I’d get the wheel properly repaired. Yeah it’ll cost you but you’ll be happier with it in the long run.
Can give you a couple of suggestions for the Stirling area if you need them ...

Sorry to hear about your wheel.
I would highly recommend the wheel specialist in Cumbernauld. I’ve had 2 sets of wheels done, the service is very good.

The "We Restore Alloys" place in Stirling have an open night coming up soon and they usually have deals on getting your alloys repaired. Last year it was £200 for 4 and £300 for diamond cutting.

I used Wheel Pro Scotland a few years back and they did a top notch job. Cant remember the exact price but was around the £200-250 mark for all 4 wheels in "shadow chrome" finish which is silver over black and looked awesome (subtle but special!)
They do a lot of work for main dealers and usually have pretty high end stuff in (eg. Ferraris and the like) - I used to work round the corner from them so often ogled at what they had in!
It was the Edinburgh branch I went to but they also have one in Glasgow.

I had mine redone a couple of weeks ago by Wheel Pro Scotland in Glasgow, can’t fault them. Price depends on whether you need a custom colour or not, but can recommend them fully

Don't think it works like that. I'm sure that's just a 4 wheel deal :moonie: Check out their facebook page as I think that's where I saw it advertised :thumbs up:

I thought I would join the alloy wheel scrape club today
Does anyone have a recommendation for a repairer in the Ayr area?
Thanks
Andrew
