So I went to turn on the exhaust this morning and it didn't work. After pressing the button twice there is a delay of 5 seconds and it will flash twice and then go off. The exhaust doesn't open at all.
I have no Bluetooth devices on as I know this can cause intermittent issues. The only thing I can think of is the very cold weather (-2c). Would this have an effect on the exhaust electrics?
How long is the warranty on the exhaust? I've had it for 10 months now with no problems.

Could be the cold but could also be the batteries have died. If the batteries go the exhaust automatically closes

Yeah more likely to be batteries (I’m sure they need one or two C2032) and depending on how long they’ve been used or how cold they get determines the length of time they last. Might be that the exhaust valve has frozen too ... let it warm up and try it again see what happens.

Fortunately I had spare batteries for it, but it's the same issue. The button does flash after 5 seconds of pressing it. Maybe it has frozen, but it has been colder than this and worked fine...

I think it was the cold/freezing of the valve which was the problem. I just gave it a good 30 mins drive on the motorway and when I got home it turned on straight away!
This was probably the longest amount of time I've gone with the exhaust shut in all 10 months of ownership haha [emoji23]
I don't think I could ever go without it now... I will forever be buying second hand pre LCI cars until they decide to design an exhaust system around the new PPF!

Yeah it’s likely that the moisture has frozen around the valve and until it warms up it’ll not work. Glad it was a simple solution and more importantly “free” ...
Could always wrap something (microfibre cloth) around the valve overnight so it stays frost free ...
