Do you have to keep your non- hybrid Mini outside?
Windscreen iced over?
Don't want to stand there shivering & scraping?
Breath freezes on inside of windscreen?
Top tip...
20 minutes before getting in the car, place 2 hot water bottles on the dashboard!
Works a treat!

I just start mine up, leave it running for 3-4 minutes, turn on the rear screen heater, whack the a/c temp up to max and then turn on the heater.
Having the heated seats on max setting also helps.
It also means that I don’t start driving the car with a stone cold engine.

I did that this morning.. after spending about 10 minutes trying to get the door open without damaging any of the seals I started the engine up and went back in doors.

Pro tip : don't attempt to lock your car whilst the engine is running. It causes the horn to go off twice... I'm sure my neighbours were happy with me at 6am [emoji23]

I saw a wee video on FB the other day that I though was a great idea.
Someone used a large plastic bag that was filled with warm water and just “wiped it” across the windscreen.
The ice/frost was gone in seconds.

I've got to admit the Mini has that small a windscreen, it's a doddle to deice, Depending how I park on the drive I usually get away with not having to deice the car too much due to the shelter of the house.

I always use Rain X on my glass which really does help when it comes to de-icing/defrosting the windows.

I hear WD40 works well too...
It stops the blades from sticking and squeaking...
