I have the private reg D11 VDR on the car.......but its the standard length and I'm sure I can get it narrower, while still being legal, in order to 'bunch up' the letters a bit.
Whats the maximum reduction I can do on the mini plate size, without causing unnecessary attention?
£75 a set from FourDOT??!?!?! Bit pricey!!!
thanks

I have a set of short plates (5 digit) from my TT days which I’ll get round to fitting at some point, there are a few sellers on eBay, as your plate is 6 digit they are slightly longer than the 5 digit option

As Ali says you need to have
1. A retro-reflective background
2. The makers name or postcode
3. The BSA standard
4. A gap of 11mm from the edge of the plate to the start of the characters
5. A gap of 33mm between each group of the characters
6. A legal font (standard, 3D or high line) - nothing else is legal.
7. The characters should be 79mm high and each have a stroke width of 11mm
If it doesn’t have all of the above then it’s not legal.

Think I paid 20 for 2. Made to fit my plate (y2 otm). It's 11mm you need round the outside of the letters plus the proper spacing
