... and it looks like they’ll be sticking to the 2.0 engine as suspected.

Will certainly be interesting and be good to be in the bracket as some of the more powerful cars such as golf

At current rates $50K is £39,527.25 !!!
I’ll not even be thinking about one until at least 2025, second hand of course, if they are gonna be that kind of money for a brand new one.

^ If they have any sense they'll keep the list price below 40k & avoid the nasty vehicle tax levy :ragin:

I think anything over £35k will be pushing the limits even for a limited edition MINI. Let’s face it it would have to be pushing well over 300bhp and be something I couldn’t build for me to invest I think
Unless ... (I’ll so no more)

If it’s near the 40k mark they will struggle to sell them

I know this sounds like heresy, but 40 grand for a Mini is just a bit bonkers. I know you can already spec a Countryman to over that, but seriously, would you?

And this coming from someone who's Mini outlay stands at just under £100k over the last 16 years.

Posted today that both cars will be auto only HERE (http://www.motoringfile.com/2018/12/14/300-hp-mini-jcw-countryman-and-clubman-transmission-details/)

My pet hate every quick car going automatic....

£40k is a bit bonkers for a mini and I feel with Mini becoming more of premium brand it’s going to lose a lot of the people who bought into the brand.

My R53 was £15k in 2002 but I specced it to about £17k. Kept it for 15 years and last year spent £29k on the JCW.
