Just finished watching this. Love Cars (tiff needell's new project) did a track test of 5 sub £30k hatches

Mini F56 jcw
They did a flying lap of the llandow circuit in Wales and I was totally surprised by the results. The F56 was the slowest by a big margin 1.5s slower than the Octavia which weighs a lot more and only has an extra 10bhp.
The jcw was an 18 plate so made me wonder if they did seriously detune the jcw before they stopped production because surely the mini should be able to beat an Octavia on a track and llandow is a kart track so it's not like you need big power to be quick.
Just found it quite interesting. The jcw did claw back a little victory in the drag race beating the i30N.
