Hi all,
Getting through the cosmetic upgrades to the F56, next on the list once I fit the front JCW pro splitter kit are front driving lights, does anyone have experience fitting these? Where’s the best place to buy a kit? I’m hoping these aren’t silly money like the Pro kit parts [emoji849]

From MINI they are “from” £290 for the lights, bracket and grille £95.21 and the control unit is £44.90.
Oh, and they do recommend that they “are for installation by trained technicians and not by an end user. Installation must be performed exclusively by a specialist workshop.”

Contact HF to see what kind of a deal that they would be willing to do for you.

Yeah as Pete says they’re not cheap but I think they’ll be worth it. I’m not even sure if they need to be coded into the car too.

I do love the look of the additional drivings lights and a pair will be purchased for Rocky when the piggy bank allows.

You get a 10% discount from Harry Fairbairn plus free postage if it’s needed. Message Elliot or one of the guys either by posting in the HF Section or PM them. I’m not sure if they will need coaded or not. I would be surprised if they didn’t need coaded

On another note the Pro splitters are a doddle to fit

A little bit brute force, sounds horrible but it’s the only way. The clips are strong so don’t worry about them breaking. Also I take it you’ve undone the bolts 1 in the arch and 2 under the original splitter?

Yeah I’d removed the two bottom bolts and arch bolt, the plastic is extremely thin in the bumper hence me looking at bumper removal to get at the clips to properly release, I think the clips are stronger than the bumper [emoji849]

Definitely not a bumper off job. Fitted loads, pull the upper arch off and it’ll give you better access to the original splitter. If you’ve got a trim tool give it a shot.

Yep I’ve got a set of trim tools from my Audi days, when you say upper arch do you mean the plastic outer wing trim or the arch liner?
If the rain stops I’ll have another go at it [emoji6]

No the arch trim. Just gives you a little bit more room. Won’t need to take it all the way back
