Did you miss me? :p

On the cusp of returning to MINI ownership, sort of.....my good lady is in the throws of getting a 55 plate Cooper CVT - I had the bad luck of having to test drive it yesterday :D Shame! ;)

As wee aside - what's to look out for on 2nd hand R50 (Facelift) models these days? Its only done 39k miles.

Welcome back Wul :thumbs up: & tbh forgot all about you  :smilewinkgrin:

I'm sure the R50 will be 'sound' with only 39k on the clock. I've still got my 04 Cooper & apart from earlier steering issues I've had no other major problems (& that's with the old Midland gearbox still pulling it along :yes nod:)

Thanks guys - had a wee nose in the members list earlier and saw a few familiar names :)

Saw my old detailing tips thread was still lurking there too lol - back when I had no kids and plenty time to wash cars haha!

39K....that's nearly as low as mine....lol
Just the usual things Wul.....selecting reverse is still a giant pain in the ass (takes forever when doing a 3 point turn..!!) watch out for sticky rear off side calipers (don't ask me why..!!) and electric steering pump issues.

Cheers Gordy & Julz.......how time flies eh? 16 years ago I got my first 02 plate Cooper, and my two wash buckets haha!

Now flapping about in an Outlander PHEV for tax purposes!

Yep, 16 years since the first mini for me too, still got the Renault Sport, the mini I have Now was as a second car while the Meg was needing some TLC, the mini has now taken preference!
As for two buckets, we’re snow foam and one bucket now! [emoji38]
