electrical problem ?

came out this morning to find my 2004 cooper s sitting in the drive with both front windows halfway down. Needless to say,she was full of last nights rain water !! Anyone have any ideas on what caused it to do this,thanks Andy.

This has in the past been several things but biggest issue in the past was the BC1 module that gets water in it and then goes faulty..
