The other day my car stopped opening and locking with the door buttons it started intermittently sometimes it would work but you would need to push the button a few times. It's totally stopped unlocking now. But the car still starts without inserting the key. And I've never had the message to say there is no key present

Cant find any help online seems like anyone who has had a problem with comfort access has lost it completely.

Thanks

That was my first thought but new batteries didn't help and it's both keys. I've never used the spare key since I got the car but it's doing the same the keys start the car but won't work the doors

I've always had the issue of having to be quite close to the car before I could unlock with the buttons so I wonder if the receiver in the car is week because with the key buttons I've never been able to be more than about 3 paces from the car before I could unlock it

Could it be the button that’s not working Mark?

You said it starts without the key !

Could there be something in the ignition that stops you locking the doors (using the key) while the key is in the ignition (or it thinks the key is in the ignition)

Just an idea

Gunna get it plugged in some time next week. Thanks for the ideas though.

I don't think it thinks the key is in the ignition because it still knows if you start the car and walk away from it.

I'm Totally stumped now. I've used the spare key for the past couple of days this morning went back to my main key. And decided to try all the CA switches and the boot opened straight away and then I was able to unlock the car with the door button.

Drove into work less than a 10 minute drive got out and then I had to use the key to lock it again.
