OMP boss for R50 / R52 / R53

I bought this new and didn’t try and fit for a couple of months. When fitting I noticed two metal portions didn’t join fully on one side. One side has a very slight gap, less than a mm (circled in photo). The retailer refused to accept a return as I had modified it, i.e drilled a hole to allow the indicator cancelling bit to fit in. I tried to explain that without drilling, the boss was useless as it would not fit, but this fell on deaf ears.
I returned my car to standard before selling, so now have this left over.
It did and does work fine.
