Anybody else got a works s? My fuel consumption isnt exactly to my liking, i mean i didnt expect it to be frugal but i think im getting 19mpg!!

would be interesting to see how many miles other owners are getting out of a tank of fuel??

Heavy feet?;) Sounds about right! If I am being 'enthusiatic' I can get mid to low 20's in my standard cooper.

No its not heavy feet in my case, i cant rev the thing as its not even done 1k miles yet......

That doeas sound quite low then. The engine will loosen up after a few more k and the consumption should improve but you will be able to rev it then so a noticeable improvement is unlikely.

I get similar fuel consumption but never below 18mpg.

My consumption when down from 39 - 40 to 29 - 33 when I changed to 17s from 15s. Probably got something to do with my average speed going up by 20mph though!

I managed to get as low as 9 mpg  was booting it a wee bit though ;)

Have deliberately held back on the right foot because I never seemed to be away from the petrol pump. The cost of optimax has crept up over the past few weeks. Am making a small saving as a law abiding citizen rather than swapping to unleaded. At least its still an option for my wee car if the price rises much more. (Ye can tell I'm skint!).:(

Driving my JCW S like a granpa I can manage to get around 35mpg. Adopting my normal, day to day styleee I'm averaging about 29-30mpg (mostly dual carriageway / motorway stuff mind you). Lowest figure I've achieved is around 23mpg

Don't have an 'S', but my Coop started off giving me around 25mpg, much to my disappointment, but she soon improved, and now I get between 37 and 42 depending on my driving style!

My average driving gets me about 24mpg but if I'm out for a wee bit of fun, I reset one of the consumption outputs and average about 14mpg!! (Better than Rob, over £60 to fill his car for 250 miles!!)

I've got a Cooper and mainly run about town in it. Dont have an OBC so i dont know the mpg but i only ever get about 240miles for a tank, and that is it completely empty. Saying that when i take it down to stirling or where ever i get over 350miles :D

CooperTrooper
15th October 2004, 12:54 AM
my cooper gets a consistent 26.1mpg on the OBC, no matter what i do it wont go up!

to be fair, my right foots pure lead, which doesn help :blackeye:

everyone in work agrees, my coopers the fastest mini on the road the way i drive it
