Hi,

My insurance is due for renewal, although it pains me my premium is likely to go up due to my recent mods.

Has anyway taken out a policy with NMS insurance company sponsors?

Chris Knott have always been competitive for me (highly modded R53 JCW). Flux can be competitive for a lot of specialist/modified cars, but IME have a tendency to jack the price up at renewal time, then funnily enough when you do the shopping around and go back with a competitors quote, they can match that (this was 30% less than my renewal quote)

That really put me off TBH - I felt I was being ripped off. It's the time it takes though, phoning around, listing all your mods

I've just changed to Chris Knott after using another company for 4 years.
They undercut my insurance renewal by £35 and that's all mods declared and doubling my mileage from 5K to 10K miles per year.

I have both my cars insured with Chris Knott they beat my last renewal for my golf by halfing the premium which was unbelievable and then they gave me 20 pounds extra off as a repeat customer

Yes indeed, used Chris Knott for the GP last August. It's quite modified and none of this was an issue, they weren't too hung up on mileage either.
Very pleasant and professional to deal with.
In fact our two Audis are up for reinsurance this month and am asking Chris Knott for quotes, as Adrian Flux were suddenly +20% on last year's premiums, with no changes in our side...
