NMS Open Day @ Devilish Detailing 16th April 2017

Hi Guys,

Something I have been piecing together for you - Our first NMS open day at Devilish Detailing!

I have chosen Sunday 16th of April. Right at the start of show season. Provisionally if too many people wishing to attend have Easter hol commitments, I can push it back to the 30th.

What to expect;

1. A judged show n shine competition with prizes

2. A crash course in machine polishing with the opportunity to try for yourselves

3. Craig from CarPro will be on hand with products to sell and advise on how to use CarPro products

4. Q&A

5. Snacks

I hope this can be a fun and informative day where you can pick up plenty of tips for the incoming show season!

Stick your name down if you wish to attend so I can get an idea of numbers :)

Anyone intending to enter the show n shine competition, please mention in the comments. The judging will be in the form of a concourse scoring system that takes into consideration the age of the vehicle which helps to level out the playing field.

Yep, It'll be at our studio in Falkirk. I have "soft start" time of 11 am but will finalise this once all is in place.

I will update the original post with the location and where to park. I plan to line up all the Show n Shine entrants directly outside the studio then there will be parking in the derby yard for everyone else.

Ok peeps looks like it's shaping up to be a great day.

We get quite mixed results from sat navs, but generally, they will take you to a small industrial park (behind skidz) our sign is out by the road at the entrance. We are tucked down behind ATS through a small gate. If you are having trouble give me a call on 07951319802.

If we can get all the Show n Shine entrants to line in front of the studio, I will stick my Clubbie there to which you can take the lead off for plenty of good photo opportunities.

For everyone else, could you park outside the gate around ATS where ever you please :) neighbors are aware of the open day, and most are closed so feel free to park in front of shutters, etc.

We're going for an 11 am start with a relaxed finish time.

Firstly can I apologise to everyone for having to rush away early today but work was calling. I know where I'd rather have spent Easter Sunday ...
A massive thank you to Bryce for putting on today's event. A true gent with a cracking wee unit and if you're looking for work on your car he's the man to assist you. His Clubby is stunning even in the rain !
Sorry that the weather let things down a bit but it's probably the only thing we don't have control of.
Great to see everyone making an effort to turn out and got to see some new faces with their wee buggies.
Gordon the wee R50 looks superb for its age and Brian that challenge looks stunning especially with all the additional extras fitted.
Bryce please pass on a big thanks to your mum for the home baking and refreshments.
Hope everyone enjoyed the rest of the afternoon and once again please accept my apologies for not being able to hang about ...

Would just like to say a big thank you to Bryce for hosting us all today, great unit as Davy says and I know where I'll be going if I need a professional job done. Was great to see up close how to use a DA properly, I'll happily give that a go sometime when there isn't an audience in attendance!

Today's meet ..what an enjoyable day ,food was excellent (thanks Bryce's Mum) great to see new and old faces ,practical demo's brilliant touch ,Bryce's knowledge shone through and his enthusiasm for what he does was clear to see for all ,this was NMS first visit and by today being a blast will not be their last ,once again thank you very much for today pics to follow

A huge thanks to Bryce for hosting a fantastic day at his great unit. A true gent, nothing was an issue and more than happy to spend time with everyone on technique and products.

It was great to have demonstrations today by someone who has a fantastic knowledge and passion that shown throughout the day.

A massive well done to Davy and Gordon on their First and Second places at the show and shine, both cars looked fantastic.

If you never made today, you missed a great day and you need to attend the next event at the fantastic Devilish Detailing.

Big thanks to everyone for making it out today. Shame about the weather, but it didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits.

A fantastic effort from everyone who entered the Show n Shine and congratulation to Davy for taking first prize and Gordon for taking second. Two very tidy MINIs especially for their age.

I'm glad everyone was able to take something away from today while having fun at the same time.

I will take a look at the calendar and pick out the only day it will rain in the month and plan our next open day for then :lol: Hope everyone that missed out today can make it along.

Again guys thanks so much for coming along today. I'm glad everyone had a good time. My mother was very happy to hear the food had been cleared out!
