I'm looking to get rid of the RFs currently on the car. I'd forgotten how hard these things are to drive on. Am a bit confused though about the load bearing bit and can anyone advise as to whether there are any limitations on tyre width because of the bigger brakes on the JCW? Car is off to Polished Bliss for a week of TLC on 20th so think now might be as good a time as any to change the tyres over.

The load bearing part is in the sidewalls ,limitations to tyre width is determined by wheel width ,are you sticking with your OEM wheels ?

You should be able to get the same size tyre as the RFs. If you can't, one size out won't make a big difference i.e. 215/40 instead of 205/45

Thank you that's helpful. Only changing the rubber. Wheels are immaculate and I rather like them
