View Full Version : F55 Cruise Control Fault

Hi, I've been getting a cruise control fault message on my F55 although the cruise control itself seems to be working fine. I took it into my local dealership naively thinking they would investigate the fault free of charge under warranty. No chance - they wanted the best part of £80 to run a diagnostic and would only waive the charge if a fault found. I can see this one going round in circles so is this common practice and I just have to pay up hoping they find something?
Thanks!

How old is your F55 ? And would have thought it would have been under warranty

As above how old is the car? I would have thought any fault would be investigated and fixed under warranty

MINI William & badwolf340 - thanks for replies. The car is 18 months old so still under warranty. I thought the same as you both but it seems the dealer nor MINI UK share the same view. I think it's a spurious fault message but that itself should be a warranty issue. I'll try another dealer and see what they say.

If you can, take it in with the fault showing, they'll not charge you then. Which dealer was it?

Failing that if you're on Facebook or Twitter fire MINI UK a message

Will try various tactics and hopefully get it sorted. Thanks for your help.

Take a picture or video of the error with the date and time showing.

No mods done.
I bought the car as an approved used last year so will try the selling dealer rather than my local.
