225/40/17's on an R53?

As above does anyone know if they will fit under the arches?

I fitted some to a car I recently sold and they fit ok except there is a slight rubbing on the rear arches only on the small piece of rubber that hangs under the rear arch, not the exact arch if that makes sense

I'm running 215 45's right now but they are on 8" wheels and are a bit stretched, thanks for your help

They were fitted to a set of standard S Crowns
