Hi folks, I've bought a dashcam and would rather take a hard wired feed, instead of tying up the ciggy lighter socket (I use this for charging phone or Sat nav etc)

Any advice on a handy source to tap into?

You can get a twin fused piggy back holder that replaces 1 of the fuses in your fuse box and is still independently fused which will give you the hard wired approach that you are after

I use one of these so that I can easily remove all trace of any sat-nav, dash cam and mounts etc in the GP so that it doesn't tempt a buffoon to be naughty and break a window to steal something that isn't actually in the car.

That's an excellent piece of kit, any idea which fuse is an Ignition feed without interfering with other components?
