Mini ariel

Going by what I've seen on other minis, it looks like the previous owner has replaced the standard ariel & reception is rubbish. Any ideas where to get a cheap standard ariel, & is it easy enough to fit. Do I have to take the whole roof lining off & run the cable all the way, or can I just put the outside part on & attach it to the old coax cable?

Would just nip past local auto factors and usually get couple of fitting gs with them..
Should just be remove and install.... boy in halfords will probably assist......

Would defo buy the genuine Mini short one as the reception will remain as good as using the larger one, always bought mine from local dealers as not expensive
