Harry Fairbairn Kirkcaldy F60 Countryman Launch 11 February 17

[MINI William]

NMS have been invited to attend the launch of the new F60 Countryman on the 11th February 2017. Times etc are still to be confirmed for this but it would be great to get a display of as many NMS cars as possible on the day. This also gives us a great opportunity to show of NMS at its best along with speaking to other enthusiasts that possibly don't know about NMS.

We are to be at HF Kirkcaldy from 10am. My suggestion for those that want to is to meet at Tesco at South Queensferry 9.20 to leave at 9.40 to head up to the garage in convoy, which should see us arriving around 10

Thank you to everyone who came along today p, I hope you as a good time at the launch. Also a huge thanks to Dave and team for making today so special.

The new Countryman looks great and any picture does it no justice. The entire car is vastly improved inside, out and to drive. The wheels on the black car within the showroom where stunning and a huge improvement to the old car.

As always NMS put on a great display of cars and added to the great atmosphere already in the dealership with lots of laughs and smiles. Andrew has found his latest mod for his car, a first aid kit after an incident with a tailgate.

Some good pics there guys, looks like the weather was the same as Aberdeen.

We had one in the showroom up here with the same wheels, they look great. It also had very nice leather seats, a light tan colour, and the sunroof - pretty much my ideal spec.

I hadn't booked a testdrive as we were up in Macduff with my daughters football, but I managed to blag one in a manual Cooper. Being the same engine as my car, I expected it to feel a bit underpowered, but not at all. It only had 100 odd miles on it so still tight, and I wasn't going to thrash it but it felt fine. The interior is very nice, as to be expected for an F series, although I did kinda feel like I was sitting on it rather than in it. The exterior I'm not sure of yet, I think the colour and spec will help and I'm sure it's a grower - I didn't like the R60 when it came out but I'd happily have one in the drive now.

Heading into the dealers, we pass Audi and we spied a yellow Q2 outside, so we nipped in there for comparision. Didn't do anything for me in the flesh, and kids said there was less room in the back than the F60 - I didn't bother.
