Hi Folks,

Ex-member making a return, here. Was last NMS member in 2004 when Julie (the Mrs) had a Cooper S.

Now the whole family is in mini's of various guises. Tanya (daughter) in an F56 Cooper S, Adam (daughter bf) in a R56 Cooper S, Sam in an F56 Cooper, and Julie just awaiting delivery of her F56 JCW in a few weeks.

Hope to catch up on a run sometime soon!

Thanks for the kind welcome messages.

Julie's JCW arrived this morning, and went straight into PDI and prep.

All going well, she'll be back at the wheel of a Mini by this time tomorrow.

Collected Julie's JCW last Wednesday, and finally managed to prise the keys out of hand last night when I got to drive her for dinner and drinks in Edinburgh.

Great fun wee pocket rocket, and the car's not bad either ;-)

It'll be even better with an NMS sticker in the back window.

Holy thread resurrection!

We're back ....... again.

Julie's JCW (above) was, sadly, written off 1 year and 1 day after we collected it new. Thanks to a foreign driver we met just north of Spittal of Glenshee who had forgotten what side of the road we drive on here in the UK.

We were fine, JCW was written off.

A 308GTi270 (surprisingly good) filled the gap while the insurance companies fought back and forward, from the UK to the foreign drivers homeland in Amsterdam.

Long story short, after having the mini bug re-kindled after visiting the last Tartan Tarmac breakfast meet, we've agreed today to acquire a familiar car of this parish. After a test drive earlier this morning, William's old JCW Challenge #20 will be replacing the 308 in a couple of weeks.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, again :D
