Im looking to upgrade the suspension on my MCS with stage 2 remap. Ive come across these at a really cheap price. Anybody used them or know anything about them?

I would have a look at what Site Sponsors Orranje can do for you. Sometimes things are to good to be true. I'm a great believer in you get that you pay for.

if you read some of the reviews of these FK product you will soon see why they are cheap.

I had BC racing coilovers on my E46 and now on my R53. Would definitely recommend, they have adjustable top mounts, drop links etc included. They are about £650 or so though.

AP or V-Maxx seem to be the price/quality compromise.

Just seen AP Coilovers for Mini Cooper S R56 Cooper D JCW at £350. Think they're worth it

I had ta technic on my focus or somethin like that, basically race land/jom they were fantastic for gettin low but were solid, bounced about like mad, and they lasted about 9 months till rear shocks were leakin n under 1.5 year the fronts were gone too

Buy cheap crap buy twice lol

Dont get FK i had bought them for my grande punto. Because it was slow didnt really matter if they were crap just wanted to be lower. There is absolutely no give in the shocks they are solid. The shortend tie rods they came with lasted 2 weeks before they were completely nackard and the adjustment rings seized together. They were in the caf for less than a year and they were totally corroded the springs were brown with rust after less than a month. Either spend as much as you can on coilover. Fk, bilstien, bc. Or if you want to keep the proce down i have a set of eibach sportlines i am selling for £100 posted. They give the car about a 30mm drop and it does make quite a difference in cornering.

AP seems popular choice for the R53!

depends what you are after, how much adjustability you want etc...

I had BC on my clubman i liked them altho they can be a bit crashy some times. Currently running direnza on the R53 nothing wrong with them if you just want to fit and go low and worked fine on track but i will be looking for more ajusterbul type coils for mine when i get chance

Thanks Guys. Think I'll stick with a brand name rather than take the chance on the unknown. I don't think I'll be making many changes in height - I'm an old guy remember. Its hard enough to get out at the best of times :-) Probably go with Bilstein B12 fixed height..

Ewan has them on his R56 JCW and loves them. I have them on my R52 and they have made a huge diff to the handling [emoji2]
