Windows Dropping - Why

Came back to the car this afternoon - 2007 MCS R56 - to find that the windows on both sides had dropped by about 3 inches. I know I closed them up before leaving it. This isn't the first time its done this but I just put it down to my own stupidity leaving them open. Anybody had this before? How did you fix it?

if you press the open button on the remote twice the windows drop a bit to make it easier to get in if someone parks a bit too close

If my battery on my mr2 was about to die as a last breath it would drop the windows so u could open doors manually
