Bought a new scoop from Orranje at MITP on Sunday, as mine was rattling and I know was only being held on by 2 of the 4 clips!

It's not as aggressive as some that I've seen, but should allow a bit more air to the intercooler.

If I can get it painted this week, then fine, otherwise it'll be like this for Oulton on Saturday.

Anyway, it fits, has S/S bolts embedded between the layers and S/S nuts so much more secure.

It's the Omicron Leap one from Orranje.
Can't get it painted before Saturday so will get it and the dent and scratch on the drivers door done next week.

To be fair, there does seem to be a deal of work to be done to prep it prior to painting, sink marks, air bubbles in the primer which will have to come off anyhow, according to the paint guy I'm using. Cellulose?

I think that the primer is hiding a few sins, but that's all I've ever heard about these sort of scoops that aren't a one-piece moulding, but then there's the crappy fixing system BMW chose (for adjustment I guess?) to contend with, so, both have drawbacks.

Yeah they'll be a fair bit of work T to try and get that straight and looking good. It's the same for most parts like that. I think sometimes it's because they don't clean the moulds after each time it's used.

Is there a mould as such, it's just grp laid up isn't it?
You can have a look on Sat.
I've had a horrendous quote for the paint and fettling, to include the door, so it may not happen just yet.
Trouble is that he does a good job. Done quite a few bits n pieces now on the GP as well as the roof/boot on the Mems TT when a roof slate came off the house and whacked it on the way down... :-(
