Cleanfest 24th July 2016

Discussed this show with Brian and William at the ELMOC show, so throwing it out there to see if anyone is interested in attending the show and getting a NMS stand sorted out.

I'll give some information on the show for those who haven't heard of it or been before:
The show is at Fife airport in Glenrothes normally runs from 9 till between 3-4. Its run by the keepitclean lads this is the 3rd year the show is running and has gotten bigger every year with a wider range of cars turning up on show, Yes of course there is prizes for best interior, show and shine, best club stand etc etc. All the trophies are hand made by the lads of keepitclean themselves. There is trade stands every year as well. Entry is £12 if bought in advance off the website or £15 at the gate. I can't think of anything else to say so I'll pop up the link to the website all information and photo's about the show are on the website but all I can say is the cars will make you say wow!

On Sunday the meeting point will be at the Kirkcaldy retail park (KY2 6QL) At the halfords bit which is just inside the retail park there is a petrol station and a Golden Arches if anyone needs a Wee McDonald's coffee or breakfast. Meeting time will be 8:30AM and we will be leaving at 8:45AM to head up to the airport. It is £15 entry to the show which will be paid at the gate.

PLEASE could everyone who is 100% deffo coming let me know before Saturday night so we are not hanging about waiting for you come Sunday morning if you are not coming I would be highly greatful of that :D

Have to be quick as loads of folk have applied and invites are already being sent out, could get a club stand if they're still available. I know its going to be much bigger than last year which was a great success

That was my exact thought. Cars will still be clean-ish from SCS. Deffo be some nice cars for you to practice camera skills on

If everyone is happy to either buy their ticket at the gate on the day or buy in advance off of the website as this will mean people can last minute decide even the day before if they want to come along onto the stand

Sorry never even noticed this. Yeah tickets can be bought at the gate £15. It's a really chilled out show tbh.

^^ I think so Eddie. I spoke to Greg the organiser today and we were offered a club stand but had to pay up front (straight away) for the cars that were going and wasn't too sure what was happening. I didn't want to step on Emma's toes so I've just left it as is ...

Yeah as Eddie says we'll be done on the runway where we've just to set up as before I put this up I spoke to Michael about getting a club stand etc but he told me the club stand area was full but that we could display on the runway. Nah nah. Deffo not stepping on my toes. Clearly different Information be told by two of the organisers. But can kick up a Wee fuss and try get next to club stands as obv would rather be there than on the runway. If you want to message Greg again and say that's the info I was told so didn't apply for club stand and see if there is space etc I am more than happy with that :thumbs up: I left the ticket situation for people to either buy at gate or in advance so that people could come even the morning of the show if they wanted to as obv I was told club stand area full. Updated the list and put a wee star next to everyone who had let me know they are deffo coming. :cool:

Massive thank you to everyone who came along to the show today and was part of the stand. Sorry I missed almost everyone to say bye to you's. I know this kind of show isn't for everyone but I hope everyone did enjoy themselves and maybe made themselves feel a bit better about how much money they've really not spent on their cars compared to some at the show :pGot one tried pooch now so peaceful night ahead for me :D

Thanks to Emma for sorting today's meeting for this show. Although it was 80/90% VAG cars the wee MINIs did attract the odd show attender as usual. Certainly there had been a lot of money thrown at some of the cars on display today so some unusual modifications and trick bits and pieces. Anyway as always it's good to catch up with those that were in attendance, although the weather did us no favours ... I didn't get too many photos from those on the stand today or at the show because of the weather but below are one or two that I did get ...

Thanks to Emma for organising today. A little bit of a different day out compared to what we are used to, but a good day out. No pictures from me I'm afraid as I left the camera on the dining table. All the cars looked great despite the weather.

Thanks for coming along guys. Yeah sadly the weather is always the same every year on and off rain but sadly it can't be helped. Yeah the show is dominated by VAG I will admit but I have to say this year had the most less VAG and more variety More jap, French etc being there which is good to see. Yeah farrr too much money from a lot of the guys. Yeah I did say to a few guys at SCS it's a very different kind of show it will make your eyes open and jaws drop and people do come from all over the UK to display their cars makes it really good.

The cars look amazing well done folks.

Scottish weather is brutal (and getting worse), nothing more annoying than getting all cleaned up and hitting a puddle on the way there!

One thing that really bugs me about these shows is why people feel the need to bring their dogs.

It's a car show, not feckin crufts!

(Be thankful I don't bring my dog to shows (working cocker like the one above) great dog but a total PITA.)
