I always wondered why minis have such high mileage but now I own one i know how it just wants you to take it out and play I have had mine for 4 months and have done just over four thousand miles in it even going to work I take the back roads just so I can chuck it in the corners love it

I traded in my 2 year old car at the end of 2015 with just under 50k miles on the clock! My bike is the same, I only got it on 22/12/15 and it's currently sat with over 8100 miles on the clock 😳 I expect to see 9k next week 😋

I've now covered 77000 miles since new back in 2004. Bought a second (daily) car in 2008 so mileage has averaged around 3500 miles per year on having a hefty dollup of fun :thumbs up:

I bought it in April '12 with 47K on the clock.

My 01 Y reg R50 ex press car is now on 98k and going strong.

Hardly any interior rattles, but I think thats down to the fact that it was press spec built and subsequently every panel is felt lined and full of sound deadening foam.

Although recently we've bought new, in the past I've not been afraid to buy a high miler. I do very little millage (two mile round trip to and from work) and then it just sits over the weekend as we use the family car so over 3 years it can go from being a high miler to a low miler. I guess if the books are right and it's had all the right parts swapped and serviced then your pretty much OK. Think I've said previously but one of my friends is a rep and does a lot of driving, in the process of trading in his 63 plate A6 Avant with 189,000 on the clock :D

Not done anything to it as I'm restoring a 500 S Works John Cooper car for myself at the moment. When it's all done I will make the R50 into a nice car.

My R50 is in this months modern mini along with a small pic of me. Suprised nobody on here has noticed it.
