So the time has come. Due to a new family memberhttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160608/c212f91055b53b2e1e60a7f0cb0ebfc6.jpg the time has come to upgrade to a sensible family car, so the r53 has to go.

So at the dealership, time to say goodbyehttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160615/62609eb8f833a18d47637b7b22678b3f.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160615/9a606115549c1079cf4b0910ab1a1895.jpg. A couple of shots after taking the long way home from work, thought it only right. I'm going miss this car, so much fun.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160615/b7a5a7018b52f3db7cc31bc1c5bab1d8.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160615/dd9c23578232b6e63dad2ec779863402.jpg

I have not been able to clean yet so more pics to follow. Massive thanks to Martina at crossflags Dumfries for all her help, even with a few paperwork issues everything was made as easy as possible.

Very very nice but then I'm completely biased towards the model and colour. You are going to enjoy driving it. I'm getting to grips with mine now.

Love it. The more and more I see of the Clubman the more I like it. Really wasn't convinced before I saw one in the flesh and drove it but really like that. The Cooper S is rapid also and holds the road so well. Many happy miles!

Thanks everyone for your comments,so first impressions. Love it. The interior is a much nicer place to be, pls dont think im slagging older cars, maybe its just because i only ever had second hand r50 and 53's and this is my first ever brand new car but it seems such a leap forward. Havent really leaned on it yet( only 60 something miles on the clock) but power is more than adequate for me. Even though its obviously a big car it doesnt feel it from the wheel. Lots of features i havent even begun to play with yet so more to come.

Did you get auto or manual?

Every car I've ever owned was manual until the Clubman. I was a bit of an auto anti until I drove my son's DSG.
I've been subtlety converted now and really enjoy using this 8 sped box.

Last auto i drove was my old mans x type and it was awful. I know things have moved on but im afraid im stuck on manuals, feels more involved somehow.

Finally got a day off but the weather is refusing to play along so just a quick bath but here are a few more pics.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160619/c83be2e4913d90ee4ebd865b1e80a766.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160619/c2d36309ab217aa41a0076e66583a355.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160619/aa2231b3545bcfdaf31b8f3cf446f4d4.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160619/840c5c88918c16f86a01649d9515f722.jpg

Really happy with the way it looks, hoping i can get to meet soon(as my finances recover) and see what you all think. Didnt mean to post the same pic twice but what the hell, its a nice place to be.

Looking very good. Mine's filthy. On a side note I've covered 4400 miles in ours now with overall fuel average of 37.4 mpg.
Driving the 158 miles round trip to my daughters in green mode gives me 42 mpg maintaining legal road speeds. Accelerator response very dulled though in this mode. In sports plus it's a real demon. I seriously dislike the Pirelli Cinturato P7s though and will be changing to my favourite Goodyear F1 Assy 2 RF. The Mini Connected apps for performance are a real hoot to use in sports mode. Still haven't tried my launch control yet.

Waiting till i upgrade my phone to get the app, not heard great things about it on android so im going iphone when i change. Only complaint so far, why did they move the window switches its taken me years to get used to having them in the centre, now i have to unlearn

Mini love moving things around. Like the central locking button now being on the door. I go to open the door for someone getting in and turn off the engine! I also have this really annoying habit of getting in the Skoda and searching for the start button, then having to pull the key out my pocket and actually use it to start the car...first world problems!

Lovely interior. Mini have really stepped there game up with that side of things for the F cars. I still think there is something brilliant about the original Mini's and their interiors, there always will be. But for a daily drivers I cannot fault the cabin.

So 1500 miles in, I love this car. So comfy and a relaxing place to be, the ride is good even on run flats. Little details like the puddle light and the lights in the door handles. With the seats down there's more than enough space for 2 hyper active mutts. Getting 40 mpg which I think is really good considering my right foot mixed with sport mode. Only negative I have right now is I think the fuel gauge looks like an afterthought considering the rest of the interior quality, could have been integrated into one of the other dials. All in I'm massively happy with my purchase.
