Sluggish at times

Can the r50 cooper suffer from coke build up? Wifes car seems to be fine at times then very hesitant at others

Its not burnin oil or anythin iv never had to top it up between services, im not too clued up on petrols but when takin sparks out to check does look like oil/old petrol on the threads of the sparks, is that normal?

When we got the car the pre cat o2 was knackered n the bro inlaw took ages(almost a year) to get it out cos it was seized,could the cat be clogged?

I've not had any of my R50's suffering from coke build up..... My cars have t suffered from hesitancy but I'd start with the usual suspects... Plugs, ht leads, fuel filter etc...

Changed the plugs n leads last year, jus wire brushed the plugs cup days ago but werent too bad,

Is the fuel filter not in the tank onthis model and ment to last lifetime of the car?
