Fitting airtec fmic on r56

Reading stories bout some fmic's being abit a nightmare to fit weather it being too far forward so not being able to get the lower grill back on due to aircon rad being there etc

How easy Is the airtec to fit? Is there much trimming needed?

Never had a bit bother with the 2 airtecs we have fitted. Only thing you need to watch for depending on how new a car you get is the front crash bar that is a pain

I'm not sure on an S but the Airtec FMIC I had on my 2013 JCW went on rather easily with it being a 2013 the most difficult part was getting the front crash bar loosened enough to get it behind but I believe only the 2013-on R56's have that problem because the rest don't have a lower crash bar.

Nice to hear no trimming needed last time I did that the the stanley slipped....nice wee trip to a&e after I finished for some stitches haha

No, just an absolute pain to get to

The bumper easy enuf to take off tho? Or does things snap easily

Pretty straight forward, you might snap a couple of the push in clips but take your time and you'll be ok.
