R53 tow hook

Can anyone shed any light on the legality of this in the UK? Found some detachable tow bars that are completely hidden behind the fog light on the r53 and I'm very much so wanting to do it if it's legal. In my head, not sure why it wouldn't be allowed.

You can tow up to a 750kg trailer or a combined weight of vehicle and trailer that is no more than 3500kg in weight.
You'll be buggered for picking up a cake for Davy I'm afraid.

i dont know about minis but i had a fabia vrs that had a towing weight of 0 kg but lesser models could tow . check the towing capacity on your model if its not 0 then you should be good to go
