bought a set from GT Tuning with the Kevlar pads no better than standard looking for a better set up what do you advise please

wanting them for my fast road mini , want to stop the car my mrs has a smart car with better brakes than my cooper s , thought the gt tuning ones would have been a bit better but no.

If you want excellent stopping power but for a lot less coinage than a BBK I highly recommend M-Tec drilled & grooved disks, Hel brake lines, Castrol Response fluid & pads of your own choice.
They may not be well known or expensive but they'll do the job you're expecting from them.

If you are looking at a little better stopping power and don't want to go BBK due to expense then perhaps consider just a caliper and ancillary upgrade.
Willwood Dynalites 4-pot, MTEC grooved matched with a carbon ceramic pad, Braided lines, DOT4 Racing fluid.
