I'm in the market for some new sidelight and number plate bulbs and will replace them with white LED's.
I know the sizes of each, and can buy some from a myriad of people on Amazon or eBay, but am wondering if anyone has any bought any that are really bright white and that they are very happy with ?
Real life usage by people you know beats an online review any day of the week in my eyes.
Thanks in advance.

Had LED's on the GP and the JCW and van and the only one to throw up a warning light was the van strange

Pete what I will say is don't buy the really cheap ones they just don't last very long.
Secondly you'll not need Canbus ones as the R53 does not have any warning lights but it'll not do you any harm if you buy them.
Mine all flicker on start up but I don't care about that it actually makes me laugh now as folk sometimes stare at it ... (Not that I'm one to attract attention).
You're right though go with the tried and tested ones ... Think it's 501 for the side light and make sure you get the right length festoon one for the number plates as if they're just too long the covers struggle to go back on.

I have ones from eBay, not really the cheap ones and they've lasted 2 years so far. They come on on their own accord even when the car's not running and locked as I approach. Don't know why they do this, static? Pixies? I don't have a clue. They suit the xenon headlights perfectly as the standard side lights were almost yellow.
