MITP 14th August 2016

Right folks as the above topic suggests it's details regarding this years MITP (Mini In The Park) at Santa Pod Raceway. The date is Sunday 14th August 2016. I've already been in talks with the organisers Kelsey Publishing regarding a club stand and that's has now been arranged and we are officially down as attending.
There has however been a big change in how things are being organised this year and as such I'll talk you through the steps that require to be done by YOU whilst booking.

1. Log onto www.minishow.co.uk
2. On the top right hand bar click on Club Info
3. Click on Buy your club tickets for Mini In The Park (pink top centre)
This takes you to the club booking form ...
4. In the drop down list click on New MINI Scotland (alphabetical order)
5. Add the club password which is 924.940
6. Complete the number of tickets that you require (£10 each)
7. Complete the car pass field and you must include your vehicle registration, model, etc
8. Complete if you'd like a show guide, etc
9. Complete payment details

All tickets and passes will be sent to the purchaser and not the Club so please make sure you have the correct address down for postage.

If you change your mind about what car you're taking that can be sorted at any time up until a week before the show (I'll assist you with that).

Please note that the very last (no exceptions) for booking to be on the club stand must be made by *8th July 2016* anyone not booked by then will not be given a club stand pass. Passes will be checked against cars entering the event.

I hope this all makes sense and I have checked the website to ensure that its working properly and that you as NMS members can book a club stand pass.

Any questions please fire away if I can't answer them I'll find out and get back to you ...

Once you've booked your ticket / pass could you please let me know and I'll add you to the list of people attending the event. I have as always asked that if possible we could be beside or near to our "sister" club GPUKOC and that will be looked at when areas are being allocated.

I will of course look at accommodation, travelling arrangements, etc once we know how many are attending so please if you know you're definitely going book as soon as possible and we may get a better deal on a hotel.

I spoke to them at length this morning to ensure they're be no issues and asked questions regarding problems that I could see arising from the new system but they seem to have everything covered (in theory) so fingers crossed. If we get tickets booked I'll then have a look at hotels again.

Right folks I'd sorted the hotel earlier in the year and had reserved a number of rooms going by past visits to MITP (it's not usually well attended). I've managed to sort additional rooms for everyone so we can all stay together. In that respect the room cost is £78 (room costs split between everyone) and everyone on the list has a double room. The hotel is the Premier Inn at Wellingborough and we have stayed there before ... If anyone isn't happy with the arrangements then please say and I'll cancel the room but I need to know asap. If not I'll collect the money the start of August ...

We booked rooms earlier on at the Premier Inn Kettering-same one we stayed at this weekend past when at Rockingham- as there are some other friends coming down with us as well as they wanted to go to the Pod, only about 30 minutes away, and we are staying over on the Sunday night as well. Time are use leaving

Just had an email through with links to download my tickets, also had a pdf with some important notes:



Entry is from 07.00 hrs. all cars must be parked by 08:30 hrs at the latest.
Check your allocation. no replacement tickets or passes will be issued on the day.

Vehicle Pass
Must be printed and cut out before the show. passes shown on mobile devices will not be accepted
Anyone who arrives at the show not in posession of a vehicle pass will have to park in the public car park
Your pass must be hung on your rear view mirror and be clearly visible at all times including when parked on site the pass allows entry for the vehicle only

The email I have from them this afternoon has a link to a ticket and car pass to download - have they changed to doing it this way this year rather than mailing it?

Similar last year Rob in that tickets were late being posted out.
This year the tickets and passes are being emailed to you ... You down load the file and place it in the car and show the ticket on entry. I'm not too pleased about it as you need the ticket printed ... What if you don't have a printer or access to one ? No mention you need to be able print stuff off when you order them. Fingers crossed the email arrives tomorrow ...

Got my email as well when checked but going to have to print at work as printer at home has broke !!! Its a window tag you hang round your rearvew mirror and a ticket with a bar code on it like you said it seems like a bit of a mess.

I won't be coming, but i can give you a little feedback on the M6 roadworks as i drive this road everyday :(

Junction 20-16 is a 50 limit, totally unpredictable.

Junction 13 also has some roadworks.

Great couple of days away... Really missed them earlier in the year for one reason or another (mostly poor health). Loved stretching the legs of the Panda on the strip again and finally got into the 14's. Was buzzin ! Great to see friends old and new and looking forward to seeing some folks on Sat at Oulton Park [emoji2]

got a 13.8 at totb 2 weeks ago,,,,,,its sum good fun,,,,,need slicks and a go at santa pod when iam finnished building ,,,,at least the weather was good to yous ,,,yer cars look good on the race track,,,,,does that make you racing drivers now,,,,thats a good line for the pub

Well as everyone has mentioned it was the usual pre show chaos that made the weekend for some rather than the show itself. I'll not go into the organisation of the show on here but suffice to say "must try harder". The usual suspects provided the top class entertainment ... which Eddie continued with once the bar lights were turned out.
Car was singing on Sunday Eddie not only on the strip but on the run home ... Flames were outstanding. Take a bow sir.
