TLC XL

I am about to buy a 2nd Mini (Cooper D Countryman All4 - pics to follow on Friday when I collect it). It has the balance of TLC from new so that lasts until end of 2017. How do I extend it for a further 3 years i.e. TLC XL?

I think I may have just answered my own question. Found the Mini website that checks TLC status and says I can get TLC XL: https://www.mini-service.co.uk/

It is also offering front and rear brake pads which are due for replacement in 2k miles but the supplying dealer is going to do that. Is it a coincidence that the website has offered that, or is the service data constantly sent to Mini?

Careful, my car told the dealership during the key read that it needed front pads & discs at a cost of circa £500. It didn't need either. Personally, I don't believe the car any more - it said it didn't require an oil change (17k after previous service) as well.
