F series Tyre Pressure Sensor

Does anyone know if you change tyres on a F56/F55/F54 do you have to change/replace the tyre pressure sensor? i.e. will the tyre fitters damage it?

No you don't have to change it at all but if you don't have one it'll throw up a fault light on the dash. If they damage the valve I suspect they'll have to replace it. I've spoken to MINI about it and they will be needed for changes to wheels but they don't need to be coded to the car as the signal is sent via the massive transmitter attached to the valve. You can swap TPS over from wheel to wheel too as they are around £60 each.
