Craig

Well car booked in at B & M for new injectors to get fitted, to go with my new Cam and 17% pulley (already fitted). Chris also arranging for the map to be re-done to tie it all together. Looking forward to seeing it done and getting to use the car some more again. :thumbs up:;)

I'll be very interested in the outcome Craig.
The 550's, lumpy stick and tune have been on my list since I went in 1511 after Brian had it done.

If it's 'owt like 1511 after it had it done it will pull like a train, hit the rev limiter in every gear so quickly it's unbelievable and be scary, very scary.

Thanks all - got my fingers crossed it all works out... Don't think so Mark, just want a bit more mid range and hopefully stay fairly reliable... Plus not got anymore cash for it, this will be the last...

Ha ha ha, yeah baby!

Only joshing. You'll do it in your own time (should you desire more power...)!

Be interesting to see what the map etc do.

I'm keen to mess further, but shouldn't really as I need to resolve my suspension issues (ST XTAs not configured/offered for a GP!) and I'm really wanting to swap my KTM for a different model that I saw at NEC...I'll get lynched for anything I do! [emoji56][emoji30]

Save your money buy not buying a BVH and treat the Panda Conv to some new cutting blades instead.

Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk

Craig
9th January 2016, 05:29 PM
Well, it appears I have problems but we are trying to identify where it is.... Got stuttering and what feels like a mis-fire above 5.5k rpm.. Investigation will continue. May not even be related to what's been done

That's annoying pal, is it still off the road then?

Did they measure what duty cycle the 330s were running before fitting the 550s Craig? And if so, were they lean to the point of dangerous?

Craig
9th January 2016, 05:48 PM
Nah no measurements taken, just changed over and then mapped. Need to get the car back into the garage to get looked at. As I say could be something else is broken rather than this work causing it.. Car runs and is smooth until you get up in the rev range

Hope things get sorted Craig. The car was going great too. I might have missed something, but I take it the problem arose after the new injectors were fitted?

Craig
9th January 2016, 11:39 PM
Possibly. Had a 17% S/C pulley and a Newman cam fitted before the injectors and got it mapped yesterday to bring it all together ... We will find out what's going on soon

Any updates?

Craig
14th January 2016, 12:56 PM
Yeah, took a day off work yesterday and went down to AG Motorsport in Kilmarnock with Chris. Andrew Gallagher ran the car on the Dyno we got some meaningful data out of the runs. Worked out the car was running very rich and only making 182hp.

Chris uploaded another map provided by John at DNA Tuning and the car got a lot better, albeit still running rich. Car then revved right up to redline with no misfire and made 216hp (at the fly). We left it there as John was then in transit and unavailable, but we think more fuel has to come out of it still. Huge thanks to Chris for his time, money and effort in trying to get to the bottom of this and also to Andrew Gallagher for the use of his RR and his expertise. Fingers crossed we get a final solution soon :)
