Need to fit a hand free kit but it looks like access to the head unit in an r56 is going to be a pain . Has anyone tackled this ? also which kit is the best for sound quality

I just can't fault the Parott MKi9200.
I've had it for nearly 3 years and it's never let me down.

I've had the Parrot and agree with Pete it's certainly good value for money and compatible with most original head units. [emoji106]

I take it the fitting is best left to the professionals

I bought mine, and had it fitted at Halfrauds, believe it or not.
I was very lucky as the guy who fitted it was a MINI owner and had never seen a GP and took extra care fitting it.

I've got the bracket from New MINI Stuff fitted to the rear of the rev counter with the screen to the RHS of it and I've Blu-Tacced the remote to the dash on left hand side of the rev counter.
I'll try and dig some pics out of it later.....

I now have another handsfree kit at my disposal.
The Garmin nüviCam that I bought, mainly for use a a dashcam, can be used as a handsfree kit if required.
It's the normal Bluetooth connection and works excellently to say that it's real job is to be a SatNav and dashcam.

I've had a couple of Parrot kits and really cannot fault them. The best one I had was actually the basic one as it was so simple to use and didn't require the remote which, as Pete has kindly demonstrated, is a pain to find a good location for. However, the local Parrot specialist did manage to get it connected to the MFSW eventually after a couple of modifications which was the dogs danglies!
