New to minis i have a pair of AP r55/r57 coilovers i am wondering if i will be able to use these on my r56 cooper s i have been told i will be able to fit them but just wondering if there will be clearance issues or if handling will be effected thanks in advance

If they fit ,there should be no issues ,what you will have to watch (dependant on which wheels/offset) is if you lower it to much ,the wheels may rub on the rear under spirted driving

Its just the standard jcw wheels on it and not going to low just a moderate drop so should be okay was just wondering if it will affect the handling characteristics in a bad way

Okay will the suspention at the rear not be set too hard for r56 as they are for r55/r57 ?

Some times you need to look out for spring rates/vehicle weights as can vary between models to avoid bouncing about like Zebedee from Magic Roundabout (showing my age!!!!)
