Christmas Lunch Saturday 23rd January 2016

[MINI William]

The plan is to meet late on the Saturday afternoon for Christmas Lunch/ Dinner. The mods thought that it might be best to move our annual Christmas Lunch to January as people's calanders will be busy over December and left us a little tight to try and fit it in to the calender.

Time to be confirmed but the venue is most likely to be Toby Carvary (if everyones happy wiht that) so everyone can still get some turkey, it's also not all that expensive just after Christmas and the food is rather tasty.

We will obviously be doing our normal Secret Santa. For those that have never been what this is a small gift to the value of £5 just give it a quick wrap and it'll go in Santas sack and gifts will be distributed after dinner ...

What a fantastic night out with NMS. Great food, great laughs, amazing people and a very handsome pub quiz host of I do say so myself. Roll on tthe next meet

Well what more can I say ... It was great to see the "Yorkshire" branch of NMS making the trip north again for another evening of laughs and a few ciders. Cheers for making the trip up and as always for the surprise and of course the "box of goodies". Pete you now hold the unofficial longest distance travelled for a "night out" ...
Firstly thank you to "The Harper's" for putting us up for the weekend another fabulous evening with MINI friends old and new. It wasn't just a great night it's been a great weekend for Cat and I and thank you so a much for your hospitality yet again. Thanks to William for organising the evening and of course being the quiz master for the evenings entertainment ... I'll clearly need to work on my questions for the HBT.
Secondly a massive thank you to everyone that made the effort to pop along and enjoy the evening, without you doing that the evening wouldn't have been the fun it was ...
Lastly and by no means least thank you to Jason (and Toolbank) for supplying the prizes for the quiz and of course congratulations to Andrew and Pete for winning. Good to see that some team names were very apt last night with the winning team name and gaining the extra point being "The non broken splitters" !! Sorry Christina buts it's more than just a bit of plastic lol.
So until next time ... Thank you all once again (and not forgetting Santa for his wee gift) for making the time to make the evening a success. Don't forget to check your diary for the cars and coffee meet in February.
Sorry I don't have any photos from the evening however it may be of note for those on the HBT to remember the answers from last night quiz as you never know when they may appear again ...

Just got back in after a steady drive down the A1.

After driving 511.7 miles The Hearse didn't do too bad on fuel to be honest.

I have broken my own record for most miles done for a single night out as the previous record was 440 miles when I went to Brighton for a few drinks one Friday night.

I may go the long way round next time I venture up.
