Hi, I'm trying to find out what pressure my tyres should be set at.
They are at 34 front and back just now
Size is 205/40/18 Pirelli Run Flats
Thanks in advance

Tam I take it you have looked at the tyre inflation sticker at drivers door ,or are you just trying to find out what pressures others run at

34 psi sounds dangerously low for 40 aspect ratio tyres, risking rim damage on potholes. My SD Roadster delivered on 205/45-17s non-runflats has 41 psi on its door jamb sticker and it needs every one of those. I experimented with lower pressures but grip went down and ride comfort didn't improve noticeably.
Because Cortinas ran on 30 psi all round doesn't mean that's the 'right' pressure for all tyres......

If they're run flats they're usual set at around 38psi it should tell you in the manual or on the drivers door check Tam

Just for my own car really, my Cooper S on 17's was always set at 38 but they were 45 series.
Away to have a look at the door sticker
Thanks

Door sticker recommends between 220 - 240 bar which equates to 34 psi at 230 bar

I hope you are using the psi figure because 240 bar will put shreds of your tyres into low earth orbit - that's equivalent to 3500 psi!
